Viddsee brings Asian short films to Dailymotion

Dailymotion has officially partnered with Viddsee, an online entertainment platform which is home to Asia’s independent filmmakers. The collaboration sees the launch of their very own Dailymotion channel with short films from all across the region.

Viddsee, co-founded by engineering and filmmaking duo Derek Tan and Ho Jia Jian in 2013, has gained over 1B video views globally by specializing in the underserved market of Asian short films and using data analytics to develop its viewership and optimize content discovery. The free-to-watch platform started in Singapore and Malaysia, before expanding to larger markets like Indonesia and the Philippines.

More premium movie content available on Dailymotion
While currently focusing on the launch of its new platform, Dailymotion is proud to welcome this new partnership. Viddsee complements Dailymotion’s strategy to focus on four verticals: news, sports, music and entertainment. The platform will showcase short-form videos coming from only 100% premium content partners such as Viddsee.

Antoine Nazaret, VP of Content in Asia at Dailymotion, shared, “We are overwhelmed to have Viddsee content on the platform. Short films and premium content in general is something we want to actively pursue. Our new partnership with Viddsee will not only add to the entertainment catalog, but provide richer video content for our audience”

Derek Tan, co-founder of Viddsee, commented,
“We are excited to be part of Dailymotion’s commitment to premium quality content online. At Viddsee, we have played a major role in bringing some of the best short films, documentaries and animations online and continue for our curation to reach Dailymotion’s wide reach of audience globally.”
