72 seconds, a creative content group, announces partnership with Dailymotion along with plans for global expansion.
This partnership will allow users on Dailymotion to watch 72 seconds’ most popular mini dramas including “72 seconds,” “Oh Gu-sil,” “Banana Actually” and “Taegu Drama.”
Founded in 2015, 72 seconds has quickly established itself and paved the way for new types of content. Meanwhile, their focus is now on worldwide sales and distribution of their short format clips. 72 seconds’ content was well received by globally renown production companies at MIPTV and MIPFormats last year.
Given the rapid growth of OTT platforms, there is high demand for high quality short format content. 72 seconds is in distribution partnerships with OTT platforms in China, North America, and Europe, and in active discussions with others in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Jihwan Sung, CEO of 72 seconds, commented, “72 seconds has distributed content through open media platforms such as Youtube or Facebook to promote our brand. However, we’re recently making official deals with global platforms, and our partnership with Dailymotion is aligned with that move which recognizes the value of short format content. We hope to create a positive impact on the digital content industry through this partnership.”
