09/05/07 Mise à jour
Voici quelques petits évolutions du site en ce 9 mai 2007, de plus important devraient arriver sous peu :
- Changement de la présentation des outils sur les listes d’utilisateurs et de groupes
- Changement de la présentation des miniatures des vidéos (titre plus gros et durée de la vidéo affichée sur la preview)
- Moteur de recherche plus rapide
- Nouvelle pagination dans la recherche et les commentaires de la page de lecture
- Nouvelle version russe du site

Search feature seems to be lacking content. Before changes, a search would bring up many videos. Now, the same search brings up nothing. I think the search feature needs some work!

Where is the SEXY Channel? I can’t find it on the homepage anymore, although some of the videos are still in myspace?

I can not find the sexy channel either…searching history indicates the server url is gone gone gone…its probably either crashed, been hacked or the lawyers have shut it down. Is there any other equivalent free sites out there? I learned about the sexy channel from a WSJ article.

sexy video is gone. but how? I wonder if they will get it back or maybe it’s a illegal that the french govnerment ask them to shut it down. But I it comes back.

Hopefully dailymotion will AT LEAST tell their users when they are deleting content. I’ve been in many communities over the last decade and deletion of content is usually the first sign of a major downfall.

Some of the other vids are ok, but the sexy vids were the reason to come on here as much as I did. I would give a link to my gf sometimes and make her laugh. Gonna suck not coming back on here. This was WAY better than Youtube. Better layout. Youtube just sucks. Oh well. Off to another site for a lot of us, it looks like…

You can email dailymotion you are unhappy, as I am. I think if they can truly verify age of users, as well as get $$ from those sites trying to advertise for free on dailymotion, the channel can remain. I’m sure this is quite difficult. But the fact remains, its gone. If they didnt poll us on anything before they omitted it from the page, its probably a legal matter, which costs serious $$. This site is free…get it?

Does anyone know how to get Dailymotion to delete an account? They don’t respond to Feedback and the FAQs answer refers to a nonexistant link on the ‘my accounts’ page.

Est-ce-que quelqu’un d’autre a le même problème que moi ? Je ne reçois plus les podcasts Dailymotion sous itunes 7 (Mac osx 10.3.9). Pourtant aucun message d’erreur, pas de point d’exclamation. Itunes ne reconnait aucun épisode. Le phénomène est le même si je tente de m’inscrire à un nouveau podcast… help !

Everyone is right, the sexy channel was the spice of this site. You guys are trying to be another youtube, people don’t want or need that. Dailymotion you have disappointed thousands and have made yourselves unusable to your visitors. You suck.

Salut,
Va falloir faire quelque chose, car y’a beaucoup d’élements de Dailymotion qui fonctionnent soit au ralenti, soit pas du tout.
Exemples:
- L’ajout de commentaire: n’est pas effectif immédiatement, alors biensur, l’ajax l’affiche bien temporairement, mais il suffit de recharger la page pour voir qu’il n’apparaitra pas tout de suite.
- Ajout dans les favoris: quand la vidéo est bien chargée, le navigateur coupe les connexions (sauf avec la régie pub), on peut y aller, cliquer sur “ajouter aux favoris” il va lui falloir soit 50 ans pour qu’il acquiesse, soit la requete n’aboutira jamais, alors il faut recharger la page et vite se magnier d’ajouter la video aux favoris avant qu’il idle.
- Videos en plein ecran: sur beaucoup d’OS et de navigateurs, les pubs s’affichent en sur-layer sur la video plein écran, causant une grande gêne pour la visualisation. Les pubs concernées sont surtout les pubs en flash.
- Ralentissements; surement a cause du clustering: Il y’a des videos qui se chargent bien, plus ou moins vite, mais il suffit de visualiser la video suivante pour qu’elle mette 50 ans à se charger dans le cache.
Alors il se pourrait que ce soit la liaison du client qui ait des problèmes, quand au même moment ou certaines videos sur dailymotion se chargent mal, les videos des principaux conccurents se chargent extrêmement bien.
Peut être est-ce un problème de routage vers les FAI, des serveurs surchargés ou des problèmes intermitants avec des bases de données, mais depuis 5 mois (ou plus) tous ses problèmes ne sont pas résolus, ce qui gêne la facilitée de navigation.

THIS SERVICE SUCKS! I’ve tried for two weeks to have my account deleted and they don’t do it. If this is the level of their customer service I would NEVER PAY TO ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE!

From what I think maybe Sexy Channel was remove for because of.
SPAM, and HEAVY ADVERTISEMENT, every time I go to the channel I see page after page being fill up of short .30 sec clips from other websites pluging in there name like sexycams.com or hotcambabes.uk or something, and expect you to go there if you what to see more and fool you to think you can get this offering for free but unfortunately you have to pay to see it. Ether that or they just want to get web hits.
You may say “so what, that sexy!” well I say how it is sexy for someone to post short clips of women just sitting there and do nothing plus having and big banner running across the screen saying ” Go to (_____).com if you want to see her”

yes the podcast doesn’t work anymore since the last release…
Il y a un gros bug avec les podcast depuis la dernière release je ne recois plus aucune mise à jour depuis le 8 mai dernier, est ce un problème venant d’Itunes ou de Dailymotion ?

The sexy channel was HOT! Not too hard - not too soft - just right! I would never have stopped by dailymotion if it wasn’t for the sexy channel. If they’re trying to go up against youtube - they’re gonna lose and the next video site that offers a sexy channel is going to win the dailymotion/sexy channel faithful.

IS THE SEXY CHANNEL REALLY GONE??
I can’t access it, but I can view the videos from the SEXY channel that i saved in my favorites, which tells me they have not deleted the content.
Can anyone tell me for sure if it is gone or if theres a way to still access it?

The funny thing is, these people think we come here to watch some nerd and his blogs, when in truth its for porn and copyrighted material. Other than that all of these sights are pretty much fucking worthless. They will learn how worthless they are, its cool. Did you see how much Youtube was bought for? Can’t wait until they figure out that lonelyfag15 ain’t going to make your site worth visiting.

I posted videos to the sexy channel just a few days ago. At first I didn’t see the sexy channel among the list of channels to add your video to, but then on one of the later videos I noticed that sexy was among the channels to add videos to. So I went to all my videos I uploaded earlier and I changed them to the sexy channel. I had uploaded them to “people” and I sure as hell didn’t want to get into trouble. They weren’t hardcore XXX videos. I don’t even like seeing that stuff on dailymotion (well sometimes ^_^). So now I want to upload some more stuff and I don’t know which channel to put it on. I was thinking that maybe the sexy channel would show up later.
I’m not sure whether sexy was available on the first video I uploaded, but it was there later on. hmmm…

Not having the sexy channel is not a good idea at all. Is DailyMotion becoming another youtube? DailyMotion is suppose to be a european site isn’t it? I see DailyMotion has that video comparing itself to youtube and how it’s supposedly so much superior to youtube. Europe is a liberal continent and I expect DailyMotion to be more liberal as well.
