Movie Trailers This Week: Anchorman’s Legend Continues, Wolf of Wall Street
Last week, we showed you new trailers for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, 300: Rise of an Empire, and The Frozen Ground. This week, we’ve got new ads for the Princess Diana biopic, Ron Burgundy’s return in Anchorman The Legend Continues, Leo & Jonah in The Wolf of Wall Street, The LEGO Movie and more. Grab a bucket of popcorn, avoid the nachos, and watch, comment, share the top new trailers to hit Dailymotion in the past seven days.
Diana via ScreenPlay
This biopic concentrates on the last two years of Princess Diana’s life, from her campaign against land mines to her relationship with surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan. Naomi Watts plays Di, Naveen Andrews (from Lost and Grindhouse) plays Dr. Hasnat Khan.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues via FanReviews
Ron Burgundy’s return was originally scheduled for this summer, but has been pushed to Christmas. From the looks of the trailer, they’ve fallen on hard times and left Sunny San Diego for the Big Apple, shedding the local news scene for a worldwide cable network. Also, it’s the ’80s. I will defer all gifts to watch this over and over again on Christmas Day.
It looks like all the regulars are back, but now you can add these names to the roster – Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kristen Wiig, John C. Reilly, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Greg Kinnear, and Kanye West.
Apartment 1303 via ScreenPlay
A modern ghost story which turns a love/hate relationship between mother and daughter into a tale of horror.
Stars Mischa Barton and Rebecca De Mornay. That’s one cat fight that gives me a fever.
The Wolf of Wall Street via FanReviews
DiCaprio plays Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990s securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including mob infiltration.
Tossing little people? Check. Eating live goldfish? Check. Tossing lobster at federal agents? Check. Jonah Hill wearing ridiculous teeth and Margot Robbie incinerating eyeballs. Sign me up.
Smurfs 2 via Teaser Trailer
The evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties that he hopes will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf-essence. But when he discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants, and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs, Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris, where he has been winning the adoration of millions as the world’s greatest sorcerer. It’s up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her.
There’s a “Social Smurf” in this one. *sigh* smh
Killing Season via Teaser Trailer
Two veterans of the Bosnian War, one American, one Serbian, clash in the remote Rocky Mountain wilderness. In this cat-and-mouse game, old wounds are opened, suppressed memories are drawn to the surface and long-hidden secrets about both soldiers are revealed.
The action flick stars Robert De Niro and… John Travolta. Sure, why not.
The Lego Movie via AddictoMovie
An ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together.
The building blocks come to life are voiced by Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman, Will Arnett, Chris Pratt among many others.
Frozen via ClevverMovies
In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voiced byJonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Anna and Kristoff battle the elements to save the kingdom.
And here I thought this was going to be the story of Walt Disney.
Drinking Buddies via AddictoMovie
Luke and Kate are co-workers at a Chicago brewery, where they spend their days drinking and flirting. They’re perfect for each other, except that they’re both in relationships. Luke is in the midst of marriage talks with his girlfriend of six years, Kate is playing it cool with her music producer boyfriend. But you know what makes the line between “friends” and “more than friends” really blurry? Beer.
Dramedy stars Anna Kendrick, Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson, and Ron Livingston.
Free Birds via Teaser Trailer
Two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.
Voice cast includes Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, George Takei, and DWIGHT HOWARD.
If this movie is responsible for a Presidential pardon on all turkey for Thanksgiving, I’m gonna flip everyone the bird.
