New Movie Trailers This Week: Machete Kills, CollegeHumor’s First Film
Last week, we showed you new trailers for the other Affleck’s latest effort, dinosaurs, monsters, liars, the Battle of the Year, and A Band Called Death. This week, we’ve got funky fresh promos for Machete Kills, mob out of water comedy The Family, CollegeHumor’s Coffee Town and much, MUCH more. Grab a bucket of popcorn, avoid the nachos, and watch, comment, share the top new trailers to hit Dailymotion in the past seven days.
Machete Kills via Fan Reviews
Sofia Vergara as a fembot. Lady Gaga’s also up in this piece along with Amber Heard. Best sequel ever? No. Stop hyperbolizing, brah.
The Family via AddictoMovie
On paper, this sounds dumb. But, Michelle Pfeiffer paired with De Niro? I can get behind that.
Coffee Town via MyFilm-GR
Interesting first effort from CollegeHumor. I thought they would’ve included more of their editors / staff / talent. My guess is they’ll all have a giant cameo or be sprinkled throughout. I like the combo of Glenn Howerton and Ben Schwartz but Steve Little throws me off. Not sure why. Maybe because of all the awful things he’s done and said on Eastbound and Down. Great pick on Palicki as the love interest. Still bummed her Wonder Woman show got the golden lasso of cancellation.
Prisoners via Fan Reviews
This crime thriller follows a Boston man who kidnaps the person he suspects is behind the disappearance of his young daughter and her best friend.
It’s got a pretty heavy-hitting cast. Can’t wait to hear that lovable Boston accent – it always manages to hit the part of your brain that thinks movies are good.
Getaway via Eklecty City
This gritty action thriller is about a former race car driver who is pitted against the clock as he commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Selena Gomez) on a high-speed adventure at the command of a mysterious villain on a race against time to save the life of his kidnapped wife.
There were countless shots of Ethan shifting gears in the trailer. I can only imagine how nauseating that will become over 2 hours. If you hated driving stick before, you’ll want to destroy all sticks after this flick.
Paranoia via tvPRIME
This thriller revolves around an entry-level employee at a powerful corporation who finds himself occupying a corner office, but at a dangerous price: he must spy on his boss’s old mentor to secure for him a multi-billion dollar advantage.
I wish I could do more spying. I feel like I’d be decent. Not great, decent. Enough to not get killed, but not enough to get stuff accomplished.
Insidious: Chapter 2 via tvPRIME
This sequel follows the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.
Where all my happy spirits at?
V/H/S/2 via ScreenPlay
Two private investigators break into a missing student’s house and find collection of VHS tapes. Viewing the horrific contents of each cassette, they realize there may be dark motives behind the student’s disappearance.
I’m legit scared of all young people. I never thought I’d be frightened old man at the age of 32, but the young’uns are dangerous as hell.
Closed Circuit via MyFilm-GR
Two lawyers and ex-lovers find themselves at risk after they join the defense team for an international terrorist’s trial.
I got $5 there’s an “Enhance… enhance… enhance” scene.
Girl Most Likely via Teaser Trailer
A failed New York playwright is forced to make the humiliating move back home to New Jersey with her eccentric mother and younger brother. The mom’s rented out her old room to a young buck and is sleeping with some strange dude.
You’d think a vehicle starring Kristen Wiig would get more love after the success of Bridesmaids, but I don’t get that vibe. It feels like an unofficial sequel – like they took the plot point where Kristen’s character moves home and ran with all the possibilities. Still could be a good date night movie.
And for all you adults out there, check out the red band trailer for Aubrey Plaza losing her v-card in “The To Do List”.
