Motionmakers of the Week: Keenan Cahill’s Crush, Anti-Drug All-Stars & More
It’s super quiet in the office today because e’erybody is down at South by Southwest (“SXSW”). To be more exact, our content team is at The Hideout Theatre in Austin hosting a bunch of fun-time activities. We’re screening the best videos from our Motionmakers, interviewing celebs for our “Profound Minutiae” program and talking with up-and-coming filmmakers for our “Young Guns” interview series. Oh, and there’s free food and drinks. For those of you who couldn’t make it to Austin, we’re highlighting this week’s best videos from our Motionmaker community. Click here to check out last week’s.
Keenan’s Crush featuring Jessica Uberuaga via Keenan Cahill
The scene where he’s stuck in between Jessica and her date as they hug is priceless. I’ll be honest – this is the first I’m seeing of Jess. According to her official site, she was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and is fluent in Spanish. If that’s not a reality show, I don’t know what is. She also runs her own production company and Salsa Academy. I like mine hot and chunky. Sorry, Jess.
Children’s Pop Culture Icons Warn About Drugs via Joe Petty (VKMTV)
It’s crazy watching old PSA spots from the 80s and 90s of celebs who most definitely abused the crap out of drugs and alcohol. Thank you for teaching me that hypocrisy is contagious as hell.
“Get Lucky” by Sugar Rhyme (Karol Kolodzinski)
This is like that scene from Extract in which Jason Bateman’s character races home so he can hook up with his wife (Kristen Wiig) before she puts on her pajama pants and tightly knots the string ties. I understand that some women have body issues… hell, I have body issues, but once in a while coming home to a full-on corset, fishnet stockings, and garter belt would be cool, too. Just make sure we turn off the lights before I undress. I have weird nipples – all five of ‘em.

“Primrose Hill” via Make Productions
From the production company that brought the re-creation of John Lennon’s famous poster comes this lil diddy that plays like a Nike commercial only without making you feel like garbage for not working out in three months.
Cover of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” by Brazilian 2wins
It’s always funny when I first tell people about these guys. They always picture like a Brazilian version of the Coors Light twins in green, yellow, and blue bikinis. Nope, they’re dudes. And they’re musically gifted. I don’t know why but I always laugh when I hear Louis Armstrong’s voice.
Time-Lapse of Seattle Space Needle Painting by Jason Borbay
If you watch Portlandia, you know the Space Needle is a serious thorn in the Mayor’s side. But every rose has it thorn. And even the Mayor has to appreciate this rose from Borbay.
Time-Lapse of Henrik Lundquist Painting by Ari Lankin
What’s that? You want more time-lapse videos of paintings? You. Are. In. Luck. It’s no secret King Henry is a handsome hockey player, which is rare. But even with his mask on, he’s a work of art. That’s coming from a straight Devils fan. Heyyyyy.
Miss Holland Visits the Apple Store
She should look into getting an iCentiPad.
