Music Videos of the Week: Robot Girlfriend, Public Enemy, Pole In My Pants

Last week’s top music videos featured tracks from Boyz Noise, 2CELLOs, Sallie Ford, Lena Fayre, Baroness, Lorenzo DiGrasso, and UGC. This week we’ve got masterful short movies for tunes from master remixer Eclectic Method, Bang La Decks, wacky Italian indie pop group Moustache Prawn, alternative / surreal cabaret Opera Chaotique, HardFest organizer Destructo, dapper dude Downside, and the rapper with a pants problem, Hollywood Luck. Check ‘em out and leave suggestions in the comments section at the bottom.

“Kuedon (Obsession)” by Bang La Decks via Blastro Networks
He’s a secret admirer! No, he’s a stalker! No, he’s a kidnapper! No! I’d take a slap to the cheek to make out with that broad. But, in all seriousness, this is possibly the WORST idea ever. I don’t care how into it the chick is, I’m out.

“Aeroplane” by Moustache Prawn via The Orchard
This group has one of the better names in all of music. They’re an indie pop rock band from Fasano, Italy that makes melodic music and funny songs, but not in the laugh out loud way, more in the ‘uh, okay, I need drugs to get this’ way.

“The Love Song” by Opera Chaotique via The Orchard
On their website, they’re described as “a Crossover Cabaret combining multiples genres of music, such as Opera, Jazz, Alternative Rock, African Rhythms, Musicals along with prototype compositions, all mixed with narration of stories, dark or comical & improvisations.” Their debut “concept” album released in May 2012. If Moustache Prawn weren’t enough of a mind-opener, this act should do the trick.

“Technology” by Destructo via Blastro Networks
I’m actually pretty excited for robot girlfriends until I realize how bad my luck is with electronics. I either lose ‘em or break ‘em and when they’re done working, I never throw them out. I’m not quite hoarder status just yet, but once supply meets demand I might get buried alive in fembots.

“The Rain” by Downside featuring Ayo via Blastro Networks
Missy Misdemeanor Elliott might not be able to tolerate the rain, but more women wearing white t-shirts and no bras should.
Follow Downside in real life.
“Pole in My Pants” by Hollywood Luck featuring Treasure Tree via Blastro Networks
I mean, with a title like that, how could I NOT pick this video? FUN FACT: This was also the title of a 1932 comedy starring Fatty Arbuckle.
