Enhanced Mobile App Comes to Dailymotion

That’s right, Dailymotion has completely upgraded its mobile application! The new application is compatible on iOS and Android devices. Free to download, the app allows you access to 17 themed categories featuring more than 20 million high-quality Dailymotion videos.

We enhanced the app allowing you quicker access to our massive video library and included an intuitive personalization interface. While you’re on the go, you can catch up on all the best new movie and game trailers, music videos; news, celeb, and sports updates; and our many amazing original web series and creative films. This on top of all the trending viral videos that we all cannot get enough of, so don’t fret, you can watch baby panda bears sneeze, too.

Innovations in the mobile app include:

• Customized Dashboard: With a few swipes, users enter “edition mode,” which allows them to compile playlists of favorite videos into groups and customizable home screens that give direct access to top channels, topics, content providers and single videos.

• Universal Search: Users can search across users, groups, playlists and videos, which provide more accurate search results.

• Immersive Player: With vertical and landscape viewing modes which enhance browsing across related videos, and the ability to skip through videos while ensuring continuous play. Users can also share favorite videos with friends on Facebook, Twitter and email. Tabs on each video provide access to video information, comments and related content that can be viewed while a video is still in play.

What is it with Dailymotion? Unfavouriting vids means you have to open the very clip you didn’t want in the first place & now there is this nightmarish mobile app. It is so bloody complicated that as soon as I find what I want but move so much as a muscle. The bloody thing goes wrong. I like to watch films when working out – I could do before, but now using Dailymotion is more trouble than I have time for.

Oh, and another thing! Try getting onto dailymotion’s full website when you’re on your iphone or ipad……it’s a freakin adventure from hell! I finally figured out how to get around it constantly taking me to the mobile site, so anyone who wants to know how to do that, google this “dailymotion full site” and about 3 or 4 search results down, click on the one that says…. http://www.dailymotion.com/us. Be sure to bookmark it on your ipad or iphone and you’ll always be able to get to it! You’d be surprised how many people on the internet were asking how to do it, me being one of them. I soon realized why no one could get to dailymotion’s full site no matter how you tried to sneak around the mobile one! I was on a damn mission that day and I’m glad I stuck w/ it! Their iphone/ipad apps blow!!! Sorry for having a bit of diarrhea of the mouth, but I wanna choke whoever thought this new app was awesome! I’m just at that so damned annoyed point, all I wanna do is scream! Hahahaha

The November 2011 updated dailymotion app sucks even more than the old one did! You cant access anything to do with your account, profile or even logging out! I’ve been messing with this new app all night and still hate the crap out of it!! Why cant they just make their app so you can access your shit? Hell, you cant even find a help or troubleshooting section! All this new app does is let you search videos and watch them! I dunno, maybe I’m just frickin’ retarded, but I see nothing “cool” about the new features! I’m just using the full website instead……this is THE MOST annoying app ever made! I LOVE this site sooooooo much better than youtube or vevo because the videos are better and you find exactly what you’re looking for in like 2 seconds! If you wanna find an official music video on youtube, you have to weed thru a million junk videos before finding what you want! So this app is officially in the crapper, but the full site will now be my best friend!

this is just another bullshit site that sucks u into offering solutions to your computer problems that are nothing but a waste of time!!!!! Time we all have too little o already. I wish someone would find a way to start FINING sites would clear up the garbage on web and make our country a fortune.
