The Dailymotion player goes to the next level

In order to provide the best possible service while staying up-to-date with new trends on the web, Dailymotion is optimising its video player and encoding system.

With the new version of Flash Player (10.2), you can use your graphics card’s hardware acceleration function (more details here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/stagevideo.html). So we decided to experiment with this new feature in our Flash player in order to provide a smoother, easier playing experience for HD videos. Alongside this update, we are introducing a new full HD 1080p format for videos where the source is supported and the videos are eligible for the Official User and Motionmaker programmes.

The new features provided by Flash with StageVideo will allow for a smoother playing experience (no more stops and starts due to the processing demands of HD formats). These changes will make 1080p and HD formats more widely available, so you can enjoy higher quality videos using your existing devices.

It’s maybe the reason I can’t view video in dailymotion (it works fine in youtube or other flash video sites)….
