Encoding Status
Hello there,
We released a new feature this week allowing you to know what is the percentage of the video processing. The status is displayed on the player page and when it will reach 100%, the page will automatically reload and show your video.
We hope that you will like it !

Bonjour, bravo pour cette amélioration.
Cependant je remarque que depuis quelques jours l’encodage des vidéos est considérablement ralenti. Certaines vidéo mettent plus de trois heures entre la fin del’upload et la fin de l’encodage… suis-je seul dans ce cas ? Est-il possible que ce nouveau module entraine ces ralentissements ?
ps : je profites de ce post pour vous proposer une autre amélioration : Serait il possible de choisir la vignette d’une vidéo ? Que l’image soit tirée de la vidéo elle même ou que l’on puisse uploader une image en guise d’affiche (un peu comme pour un film en somme). Voilà qui serait super !

Très bonne amélioration, bravo. Par contre, il serait peut-être temps de faire quelque chose concernant l’utilisation abusive des tags, ça devient n’importe quoi, et ceci à un effet direct sur les résultats donnés par votre moteur de recherche qui sont de plus en plus faussés.

Thank you dailymotion for all the hard work in making a great website available. The Help page, or F.A.Q. ends at number 18 in English. What is a member to do about the rest of the entries? Currently, I have an encoding issue (Yesterday also, 16 Jan 2007). After deleting the video, reuploading & publishing, encoding did not complete again. Had another member not commented, I never would have known that it was an issue. What is this member to do? Any assistance would be much appreciated. A suggestion for the website would be to allow members to contact each other directly instead of via comments. This would allow more effective conversations. As in a hyperlink to send a message that would send the message to their e-mail account. If the member does not wish to be contacted they simply do not activate alerts or they could just delete the e-mail. Thanks again DM, keep up the good work.

J’aimerais bien savoir pourquoi quand je mets une vidéo sur dailymotion, toutes les quelques secondes, il y a un message d’erreur qui s’affiche en disant : ERROR 12152 UNKNOW j’ai un ami, à qui ça ne le fait pas et il a un ami à qui ça fait. J’aimerais bien savoir si c’est dû à mon ordinateur ou alors c’est une erreur du site… Merci de bien vouloir me repondre.

après le passage encodage de dailymotion, ma vidéo été de très mauvaise qualité et illisible, alors que sur mes données elle est en bon état..
Comment remédier a ce problème

It is 31 days since I made a complaint. I have sent 281 emails so far.
I have asked for someone out of 120 employees, to take responsibility and investigate my complaint as I can prove that the account melonooo belongs to me and me alone. I have over 4000 friends and I don’t want to loose all my messages. My account has been given to someone else, with a different email address from the email address I have used for the past year melon666@fsmail.net and now has access to my personal details. How is it that new friends are being accepted without my agreement? All the evidence is there for you to see. I have proved that you have sent notifications for account melonooo to my email address melon666@fsmail.net
I have now been told that Dailymotion will ignore my complaint and any questions from now on. Why do you refuse to abide by your own rules as stated below?

Thanks for new features just one query. when I open any video earlier on right hand side it is to show “Playlist” option & was displaying all playlists where that video is! in new feature it doesn’t display.

I concur with Praraj, where have the “playlists this video is in” gone. You used to be able to use them at the right side of any video your clicked which you hadn’t accessed from a playlist.
Without that feature I can’t see myself using dailymotion much more, as it’s now impossible to find interesting related content. Please add it back in as soon as you can. Hopefully its just a bug.

Today When I am watching the videos I found that Playlists option is missing at the right side of the video. I was very much disappointed with that. Is there any chance of enabling it again ?

It appears that a GROUP I created and have uploaded videos to for quite a while and for which I was the Administrator, no longer allows me to either edit or add videos to it. This makes no sense! I just uploaded to it a few days ago, but as stated cannot Administer to remove inappropriate videos being placed there. I don’t even get the link to ADD to a GROUP any longer.
Is there anyone in charge at Daily Motion? I don’t get responses back to my emails either????
Someone it appears has hacked the Server, or has lost all sense of consciousness!

There´s some trouble uploading videos. It starts and when is gonig to finish, the window goes to home and for some reason never appears my video. I´ve uploaded many videos and never had any problem, but now i tried with a few and the problem is the same. Are you dailymotion having any problem???

There is some problem going at Dailymotion. I am trying to upload videos and after uploading the window goes to the 404 page not found page and I don’t get to see the video in my account. Lately, I am also facing the speed issue. It used to take only 5-10 minutes to upload a video, and now it takes 30 minutes to upload 5MB of file now. I never faced any of this problems before. But somehow there are LOT of problems in Dailymotion. Hope you guys fix the issue as early as possible. Thank - you.
